hey people i'm finally back after the long and awesome six months encounter with God. I've learn so many things and yet it is still not enough. Best and Worse of 2008
OK people, 2008 ended and it's 2009 now. So i guess it's a great time for me to reflect the best and worse of 2008 have to offer
Best Movie that I'd watched... (drum rolls)

Disaster Movie (the title speaks for itself) funny but a waste of time and it doesn't make sense

Myth Mania-greek part 1 (pomegranate)
For those who knows me well, they would know about my keen interest in the Greek Mythology. Somehow, the topic pomegranate came up. Maybe it's because i saw it in the market and i had always thought, besides strawberry, pomegranate is an interesting fruit. The story from the Greek myth behind this particular fruit is even more unbelievable. It is more a less a fruit that had cause a woman or a goddess of her freedom to love.
In one version of the Greek mythology, the pomegranate is a fruit bore in the depths of Hades (it means hell to us) . Persephone, was kidnapped by Hades and he took her into the underworld as his wife. Demeter, the mother of Persephone, went to mourning for the lost of her daughter and thus all greens are ceased to grow. Zeus, on the other hand could not let earth be destroyed therefore, he commanded his elder brother Hades to release Persephone. But Persephone was doomed to spend eternity in the underworld with a man she was forced to love. According to the rule of the Fates, anyone, anyone at all, who consumed food or drink in the underworld are doomed to spend eternity there. When Hades took Persephone in to the Underworld, she had neither food or drink, but Hades tricked her into eating four seeds of pomegranate seeds while she was still a prisoner to the underworld. So because of this, she was condemned to spend four months every year as the Queen of the Underworld. So, during that four months, Demeter will mourn for the loss of her daughter and will not give fertility to earth.
Because of four seeds, Persephone was doomed to spend eternity with someone she does not love. It goes the same with Adam and Eve. Because of temptation man fell into sins.
In reality it takes only one mistakes to ruin everything. Just like a drop of ink into a pure distilled water. No matter how clean or pure the water is, it only takes a drop of impurities to contaminate the water. For those who doesn't know, the reason of my keen interest in Greek Myths it is because of the fact that it really reflect the reality. It does not give you any fantasy about happy ending or even justice where the villains are punishes. In Greek mythology, there is no hero or heroin. Everyone is for themselves. Just like this world.
Sometimes it is really time for us to realise, the happy ending fantasy fiction like those in Hans Christian Anderson. Justice doesn't even exist, forget about happy ending. This is why, i restrain myself from reading fantasy, to remind myself, that's there is no justice or happy ending. It is just good enough to have a long and content life.

Brisk walking, badminton and Chucky's Badminton match with a 'Yeng' Aunty
You know, i've been saying i want to jog and jog to burn my fat? lol... well, the day before yesterday marks my first ever jogging trip in youth park... lol.. woke up at 6 to shower, prepare my cheese omelette and off i go!
We(me and vin) reached youth park at 7.45. I was amazed at the new Youth Park. Everything was like so green and pleasing to the eyes. So we walk and walk from the carpark and then vin saw this swing and let her inner child gets the better of her but little does she realise, the rusting steel on the swing caused her hand( and mine ) to smell bloody.
Presenting... Mad girl on the swing! lol
But we left it that way with the hope of attracting vampires.
But after awhile we couldn't stand that bloody smell so we went around look for a loo and embracing the beautiful nature of youth park at the same time. The toilet was SUPRISINGLY clean (not so clean actually but considering that youth park is a public place... you know what i mean). And then i saw a friend from PJKN
CY: Vin that girl looked awfully familiar.. wait... i think she's from PJKN... I dun think she recognises me, she's in the same foster home(PJKN program whereby we are assigned to a foster home in a village) as mine
Vin: oh then? call her name then
CY: I forgot, hehe, but i think i should greet her, she should be able to remember cause i'm wearing the humongous PJKN track. Should i go greet her?
Vin: What if she don't remember? Maybe you should walk in front of her and flaunt your pants if she looked at you and smile then you can go greet her
Vinny and her great ideas...
we strolled around the park while waiting for an ah pek (chucky) and then the monkey inside me had the urge of trying the monkey bar. So there we went towards the monkey bar to test my limits and to see if my strength and stamina deplete. Thank goodness i can still manage.
Then Chucky FINALLY came after we strolled the whole park. hahaha... we strolled around again and tried all the erm... what to you called those things... oh yea, the exercise gadgets... lol... some are quite fun to play at actually... lol..
Then after that, we tried the monkey bar again for the fun of it; and yea it is fun for me.
owh yea, the girl i mentioned earlier smiled at me. So i guess she recalled who am i and chucky as well, but chucky forgotten who she is.. tsk.. mean
OK now, the highlight of the day the badminton match.
WoT(vin and i) vs BOY(chucky)
nothing much betwwen our match actually. lol. We were sharing the court with the fan tai chi aunties so we took only a quater of actual badminton court.
Chucky's ah pek instinct caused him to get closer and closer to all the aunties praticing fan tai chi gracefully as we played... lol... Then one of the aunty came up to us while we took 5 and ask if she could join us. Vin and i were tired so we allowed chucky to play against aunty. lol

Well, as a part of the female society, we cheered for our pretty and awesome aunty... lol
as they played, we were on the bench shouting; AUNTY JIA YOU, AUNTY HEN YEH, AUNTY HEN PIAO LIANG ( we sorta like blab out any mandarin word we knew for cheering)

After all that, Chucky brought us to a roadside hokkien mee stall for er... bruch. The hokkien mee wasn't bad, it was nice actually.
Then i dropped vinny home and send the books i owed her up and sat there for awhile while wendy lock herself in the room after she saw our gorgeous face. Another mad girl... And then later vin showed me her old album and ask me to spot which is her.. lol.. changed so much from 5 years old to upper six. couldn't really recognise her so her hint for me for all the pictures was the odd one out.
Then wendy took her guitar to test her abilities to tune.. wth... and performed a solo on her trumpet. And wendy confessed something by accident.. Right Wendy?? lol
ok that's about all on my jogging trip with vin and chucky...
